Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Full-Stack Software Engineer (AI & System Maintenance) to support and enhance its internal systems and AI applications. The role involves troubleshooting, maintaining both frontend and backend, and implementing new features aligned with business needs.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and at least two years of enterprise full-stack experience, including APIs and cloud technologies. AI-focused engineering experience is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience developing enterprise applications using modern full-stack, API, data and cloud technologies.
• Hands-on experience with AI-first engineering practices and AI-assisted software delivery.
• Candidates with strong relevant technical experience may also be considered.

Full-Stack Software Engineer (AI & System Maintenance)

1. Maintain, monitor, troubleshoot, and support the company’s existing internal systems and AI applications.

2. Identify, diagnose, and resolve system bugs, programming errors, application failures, and performance issues.

3. Maintain and improve existing frontend and backend applications.

4. Develop, modify, and implement new system functions and features based on business requirements.

5. Review and understand existing source code and system architecture.

6. Maintain databases, APIs, system integrations, and application interfaces.

7. Develop and maintain integrations with AI platforms, LLMs, third-party APIs, and external services.

8. Maintain and improve AI-related functions currently incorporated into the company’s applications.

9. Monitor system performance, reliability, uptime, and overall application health.

10. Troubleshoot technical issues promptly whenever system problems occur.

11. Perform code testing, debugging, deployment, version control, and system updates.

12. Maintain proper source-code management, technical documentation, system configuration records, and change logs.

13. Manage application deployment, server configuration, cloud services, and basic DevOps-related activities where required.

14. Ensure appropriate system security, user access control, backup procedures, and data protection measures are maintained.

15. Perform regular system backups and support system recovery where necessary.

16. Review existing systems and recommend improvements to system performance, scalability, security, and efficiency.

17. Work with management and internal departments to understand operational requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

18. Coordinate with external software vendors, developers, service providers, or technology partners where necessary.

19. Conduct testing before implementing major updates or new features into the production environment.

20. Provide technical support and guidance to internal users when required.

21. Respond to urgent technical incidents and restore system functionality as quickly as reasonably possible.

22. Keep up to date with relevant developments in software engineering, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, cloud technology, and application development.

Education

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.

2. Minimum 2 years of experience developing enterprise application using modern full-stack, API, data , cloud technology capabilities.
