Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a software engineer to translate user stories into sprint tasks and design robust solutions across the Microsoft ecosystem. You will analyze requirements, create data models, and contribute to documentation.

The role involves developing Java, C#, or other languages, performing unit testing, and collaborating with testers to ensure quality. Qualification: Bachelor's degree in information technology or computer science, with at least 4 years hands-on experience in VB.NET,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in information technology or computer science, with emphasis on software engineering / development, and system analysis and design
• Minimum 4 years working experience in VB.NET, MVC, C/C++ / C#, JAVA, SQL Server (or any other RDBMS) and the development of solutions on the Azure or/and AWS platforms or/and Ali Cloud
• System Analysis & Design
• Familiar and experience with Microsoft Ecosystem of development tools and frameworks
• Able to collect, clarify and model requirements into the appropriate diagrams/ pseudocodes
• Software development and implementation on cloud platform

Responsibilities

• Works closely with team members to expand user stories into a list of tasks to be completed by the development team within the prescribed sprint.
• Analyses, defines, and documents system requirements, including data, workflow, hardware, operating system environments, system interfaces, internal and external checks and controls, and outputs.
• Works directly with the Product Owner to gather requirements and leverage them to design appropriate solutions.
• Develops proof of concepts and drives the implementation of solutions, while assisting with the preparation of final documentation.
• Analyses and estimates the feasibility, cost, timeline, system compatibility, and computer capabilities required to ensure smooth operations.
• Creates new tables and databases, and develops Java, C#, or other programming code to deliver new functions and features.
• Performs unit testing on developed features and functions, and liaises closely with testers to conduct module and functional testing.
• Reviews user stories in the product backlog and suggests potential user stories for the next sprint.
• Clarifies requirements with the Product Owner and end-users, and advises the Project Manager on the scope and expected duration.
• Performs testing for each solution developed to ensure bugs are identified and rectified accordingly, while maintaining software quality.
• Develops and maintains reusable and efficient code, ensures code updates are stored systematically, and enforces proper version control.
• Provides feedback and suggestions to improve the existing systems and its current features.
