Full Stack & AI-Augmented Software Developer

We build web and mobile applications, business systems, and AI-powered tools for SMEs across Malaysia and Singapore. Small team, real ownership — you'll take features from "client described a vague problem" to "it's live and working." The single most important thing we're hiring for: you can figure out how something works without documentation. A lot of our work involves inheriting someone else's codebase, integrating with an API that has no docs, or debugging a production issue where the error message is a lie.

About the role

We build web and mobile applications, business systems, and AI-powered tools for SMEs across Malaysia and Singapore. Small team, real ownership — you'll take features from "client described a vague problem" to "it's live and working." The single most important thing we're hiring for: you can figure out how something works without documentation. A lot of our work involve inheriting someone else's codebase, integrating with an API that has no docs, or debugging a production issue where the error message is a lie.

What you'll do:

• Build and maintain web apps in React and mobile apps in React Native

• Write backend services and automation in Python and Node.js

• Integrate third-party systems — REST, webhooks, and APIs that are undocumented or badly documented

• Inspect, trace, and reverse-engineer existing systems: legacy code, unfamiliar databases, network traffic, third-party payloads

• Debug production issues end to end — front end, API layer, database, server

• Build AI-assisted tooling: document/OCR pipelines, chat agents, data extraction and verification flows

• Deploy and maintain on Ubuntu/Docker

Requirements:

Core skills — this is what we're really testing for:

• Troubleshooting. You can isolate a bug systematically instead of guessing. You know how to bisect a problem, read a stack trace properly, and reproduce reliably before you fix.

• Inspection. Fluent with browser DevTools (network, console, sources), API clients (Postman/curl), server logs, and database query inspection. You look at the actual data before forming a theory.

• Reverse engineering. Comfortable working out how an undocumented API or an inherited codebase behaves — reading network traffic, tracing call paths, testing hypotheses against a live system.

• Critical thinking. You question requirements that don't make sense, spot the edge case the client didn't mention, and don't accept "it works on my machine" from yourself or from an AI.

Technical:

• 3–5 years hands‑on experience

• React and React Native (shipped at least one app to a store or internal distribution)

• Python and Node.js for backend/automation

• Solid SQL — can debug a slow query and write non‑trivial joins unaided

• Git, Linux, Docker

• Daily practical use of AI coding tools (Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot or similar) — and the judgement to know when the output is wrong

Nice to have:

• LLM API work: structured output, RAG, vision/OCR

• Self-hosted inference (Ollama, vLLM, local GPU)

• Mobile release experience — App Store / Play Store submission, OTA updates

• Experience integrating with business/accounting systems

• Malaysian business context: SST, MyInvois e-invoicing, local payment gateways
