About the role

We are seeking an experienced Front Office/Guest Service professional to join the dynamic team at Oceania Hotel in the vibrant city of Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. This full-time position is responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a seamless experience for all our guests. As the first point of contact, you will play a crucial role in shaping the overall impression of our hotel.

What you'll be doing

Welcoming and registering guests upon arrival, ensuring a warm and friendly reception

Handling guest inquiries, requests and complaints in a professional and timely manner

Assisting with room assignments, check-ins and check-outs

Providing information about the hotel's facilities, services and local attractions

Maintaining accurate records and processing guest payments

Coordinating with other departments to ensure a cohesive guest experience

Actively contributing to the continuous improvement of guest services

What we're looking for

Minimum 2 years of front office or guest service experience in the hospitality industry

Strong customer service orientation and the ability to provide a warm and welcoming environment

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with guests from diverse backgrounds

Proficiency in English, with knowledge of additional languages (Malay, Mandarin) being an advantage

Attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

Flexible and adaptable, with a positive and proactive attitude
