Texas Instruments is seeking an Equipment Engineer in Malaysia to join a dynamic, team-oriented environment. The role involves evaluating and ordering equipment, overseeing installation and upgrades, and ensuring reliability of manufacturing assets.

The successful candidate will analyze equipment performance, implement uptime programs, and provide technical support across repair and process engineering teams.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical & Computer Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science Engineering, Physics or related engineering degree
  • 3.3/4.0 GPA or higher
  • Fresh graduates or less than 2 years of working experience are welcome to apply

  • Oversee the installation, modification, upgrade and maintenance of manufacturing equipment
  • Keep current on equipment manufacturers' technical notices, upgrades and safety issues
  • Study equipment performance and reliability
  • Establish programs and solutions for increasing uptime and for equipment problems that affect the manufacturing process
  • Provide technical support to the manufacturing equipment repair and process engineering organizations
  • Define and write preventative maintenance schedules

Responsibilities Include
  • Evaluate, select, and order equipment that is most appropriate and cost effective for the manufacture of company products
  • Oversee the installation, modification, upgrade and maintenance of manufacturing equipment
  • Keep current on equipment manufacturers' technical notices, upgrades and safety issues
  • Study equipment performance and reliability

Qualifications

Minimum requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical & Computer Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science Engineering, Physics or related engineering degree
  • Cumulative 3.3/4.0 GPA, or higher
  • Fresh graduates or less than 2 years of working experience are welcome to apply
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of AMAT PVD and/or AMAT TxZ chambers equipment
  • Knowledge of PVD, CVD, high vacuum and/or ultra high vacuum
  • Knowledge of other equipment (e.g., AMAT, Veeco, TEL, Novellus, and/or ASM)
  • Understanding of tool monitoring and interdiction software, and equipment maintenance and documentation
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated strong analytical, critical thinking and problem solving skills
  • Ability to work in teams and collaborate effectively with people in different functions
  • Ability to take the initiative and drive for results
  • Strong time management skills that enable on-time project delivery
  • Ability to work effectively in an interrupt-driven, fast-paced and rapidly changing environment
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong, influential relationships
