Join Our Team as a Freight Specialist at Aramex Malaysia!

Are you detail-oriented, customer-focused, and passionate about freight operations? Aramex Malaysia is looking for a Freight Specialist to join our dynamic Freight Operations team in Petaling Jaya. You’ll play a critical role in ensuring seamless shipment coordination, documentation accuracy, and outstanding customer service in a fast-paced logistics environment.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Planning, sorting, and coordinating shipments via air, ocean, or land transport.
  2. Ensuring all shipments meet client requirements and conveyance cutoff times.
  3. Preparing and verifying necessary documentation (e.g., AWBs, customs declarations, invoices).
  4. Ensuring compliance with international trade regulations, customs laws, and legal requirements.
  5. Collaborating with the freight team to select appropriate airlines, liners, and transporters based on cost, transit time, and reliability.
  6. Negotiating rates with airlines, liners, and service providers.
  7. Tracking shipments to ensure timely delivery.
  8. Providing customers with updates and resolving issues such as delays or damages.
  9. Serving as a point of contact for customer inquiries and issues.
  10. Building and maintaining relationships with customers and suppliers.
  11. Monitoring freight costs and ensuring they stay within budget.
  12. Identifying cost-saving opportunities without compromising service quality.
  13. Handling logistics problems like damages, delays, or miscommunications.
  14. Finding quick solutions to minimize disruptions.
  15. Identifying and mitigating risks such as delays, damages, or loss.
  16. Updating CargoWise milestones promptly upon job completion.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or Business Administration.
  • Minimum 2+ years in logistics management, with experience in multimodal transportation and customer-facing roles.
  • Certifications such as CSCMP, PMP, Lean Six Sigma (Green/Black Belt) are preferred.
  • Proficiency in logistics software and data analytics.
  • Exceptional negotiation, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Fluent in cross-cultural communication and change management.
  • Immediate availability is an advantage.
