Bidfood Malaysia is looking for a creative and technically skilled Freelance Web Designer to revamp and enhance our corporate website. This role involves refurbishing our existing website into a more visually appealing, user-friendly, and device-optimized platform that reflects Bidfood Malaysia’s branding and digital presence. The ideal candidate should have a blend of front-end development, visual design, and UX proficiency, along with strong communication skills and adaptability to collaborate effectively.

The focus areas include:

Designing responsive layouts and intuitive navigation.

Developing attractive and cohesive visual elements aligned with branding.

Ensuring accessibility and functionality across all devices.

Integrating updated content and multimedia.

Testing, optimizing, and deploying web pages with best practices.

JOB & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Website Design & Development

Create layouts, wireframes, and mockups based on user needs and brand guidelines.

Refurbish existing website content with updated visual and functional enhancements.

Visual Design & Branding

Implement consistent color schemes, typography, and design elements.

Ensure visual alignment with Bidfood Malaysia’s corporate identity and brand direction.

User Experience & Accessibility

Design user-friendly interfaces that are accessible to all users, including those with disabilities.

Streamline website navigation and structure for optimal usability.

Optimization & Cross-platform Testing

Optimize site speed and performance.

Incorporate content including text, images, and multimedia into the site structure.

Work closely with internal stakeholders to align design with business goals.

Trend Monitoring & Innovation

Stay updated with the latest web design trends, tools, and technologies.

Continuously propose enhancements to improve user engagement and web presence.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Web Design, Multimedia, Computer Science, or a related field.

Malaysian citizenship is required

Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Figma, or Sketch.

Strong understanding of visual design principles including typography, color theory, and layout.

Good communication and collaboration skills, especially in remote/independent work settings.

Ability to troubleshoot issues and adapt quickly to feedback and evolving requirements.

Proven portfolio of previous web design projects is highly desirable.

Fluent in English; proficiency in Mandarin or other Mandarin dialects is an added advantage.
