Job summary

Twine is seeking a skilled documentary videographer based in Malaysia to produce a series of short documentary videos on location. You will film interviews, B-roll and drone footage where available, and edit on-site to deliver polished, documentary-style final videos suited for NGO or agency use.

The ideal candidate has a strong documentary portfolio, can travel across Malaysia, works independently and delivers high-quality audio and video with clear storytelling.

Job description

This role involves producing a series of short documentary videos across Malaysia, capturing interviews, B-roll, and, where possible, drone footage. The position requires on-location filming and editing to deliver polished, documentary-style final videos. The ideal candidate is based in Malaysia, has a strong documentary portfolio, and is comfortable traveling within the country to capture compelling stories for NGO or similar projects.

Requirements

• Based in Malaysia with the ability to travel domestically for shoots
• Proven experience in documentary videography and editing, with a strong portfolio
• Proficient in using professional camera equipment, audio recording kits, and gimbals; drone operation is a plus
• Advanced skills in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro)
• Fluent in Bahasa Malaysia and strong English communication skills
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• Excellent organizational and file management skills
• Strong attention to detail and creative storytelling abilities
