About the role

We are seeking a talented and experienced Freelance Company Secretary Assistant to join our team in Kuala Lumpur. This is a contract role that involves providing corporate secretarial support to the company secretary function. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our company secretarial duties.

What you'll be doing

  1. Assisting the company secretary in all administrative tasks related to statutory compliance and corporate governance.
  2. Preparing client resolutions, MBRS annual return filings, and MBRS yearly financial filings.
  3. Maintaining, filing, and updating the client's statutory registers, minutes, books, and records.
  4. Providing support in the preparation and filing of annual returns and other regulatory filings for clients.
  5. Coordinating client’s annual general meetings and other corporate events.

What we're looking for

  1. Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar company secretarial or administrative support role, preferably within an accounting or professional services firm.
  2. Excellent organisational and time management skills with a keen eye for detail.
  3. Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
  4. Proficient in using MS Office suite, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  5. Knowledge of Malaysian company law and corporate governance best practices.
  6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet deadlines.
