Job summary

NES Fircroft is supporting a major FPSO project in Malaysia. The Lead Planning Engineer will oversee planning, scheduling, forecasting and reporting across the full project lifecycle, ensuring schedule integrity and robust decision support.

You will coordinate planning activities across engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning, mentor planning personnel, and drive schedule discipline using Primavera P6 and integrated contractor schedules in a multicultural offshore environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, or related discipline.
  • Minimum 8 years of planning and scheduling experience in oil & gas projects.
  • FPSO or offshore development experience.
  • Advanced Primavera P6 scheduling expertise.
  • Experience integrating contractor schedules into master project plans.
  • Strong reporting, forecasting, and analytical capabilities.
  • Proven ability to lead planning activities and support multidisciplinary teams.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain the integrated project schedule.
  • Define and manage the project Work Breakdown Structure (WBS).
  • Review, validate, and integrate contractor schedules.
  • Monitor project progress and identify deviations from plan.
  • Produce planning reports, dashboards, and KPI metrics.
  • Support forecasting, schedule simulations, and scenario analysis.
  • Coordinate planning activities across engineering, cost control, contracts, and project teams.
  • Support risk assessments and change management processes.
  • Mentor and supervise planning personnel.
