Job summary

Intel Corporation in Malaysia's Penang and Kulim is seeking an experienced Foundry Automation Solutions Architect to design and deliver scalable software for MES, automation, robotics, and edge computing in high-volume manufacturing.

You will architect end-to-end automation platforms, define interfaces and protocols, evaluate new technologies, and partner with factory teams to translate requirements into production-ready solutions.

Qualifications

8+ years of experience designing and delivering complex software or distributed systems.
Experience with software architecture, distributed systems, event-driven platforms, microservices, or industrial automation solutions.
Knowledge of industrial communication standards such as SECS/GEM, GEM300, OPC-UA, MQTT, REST, or gRPC.

Responsibilities

Design end-to-end automation solutions, software architectures, and integration frameworks.
Define interfaces, protocols, APIs, and architecture patterns for factory automation platforms.
Evaluate emerging technologies and drive technical pathfinding for new capabilities.
Partner with factory stakeholders to understand requirements and prioritize automation solutions.
Guide development, validation, deployment, and adoption of automation capabilities.
