Job summary

Jora Malaysia invites applications for a Founding Engineer focused on frontend and mobile. You will architect and build our user-facing ecosystem, including web dashboards and iOS/Android apps, in a fast-paced pre-seed environment.

Ideal candidates have 6+ years in web/mobile frontend, deep TS/React experience, and familiarity with React Native or native mobile tech. You will own frontend infrastructure and collaborate on AI-powered financial tools.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of web and mobile front-end development experience.
• Strong hands-on experience in modern frontend frameworks (TypeScript/React) and native or cross-platform mobile development (React Native, Swift, Kotlin, or Flutter). Familiar with deployment, operation and maintenance, CI/CD.

Role Overview

As a Founding Engineer with a focus on Frontend and Mobile, you will be the primaryarchitect of our user-facing ecosystem. You will lead the development of our flagship mobile applications and web dashboards, ensuring that complex financial data and AI-driven insights are delivered through a seamless, high-performance interface.

This role is ideal for a full-stack-minded frontend expert who thrives on autonomy,technical depth, and fast iteration within a pre-seed environment.

What You’ll Do

• Platform Development: Architect and build high-performance web and mobile applications (iOS and Android) from scratch.


• Infrastructure Ownership: Set up frontend infrastructure and deployment pipelines, potentially leveraging Google Cloud Platform.


• Product Design: Partner closely with the team to prototype and deploy high-impact user interfaces for financial tools.


• Engineering Excellence: Operate as an \"AI-native\" engineer pro ficient in using AI coding agents such as Claude Code and Codex. Maintaining high code quality is a non-negotiable requirement.

Ideal Candidate

• 6+ years of web and mobile front-end development experience.


• Strong hands-on experience in modern frontend frameworks (TypeScript/React)and native or cross-platform mobile development (React Native, Swift, Kotlin, or Flutter). Familiar with deployment, operation and maintenance, CI/CD.


• Comfortable in fast-paced, \"zero-to-one\" environments; you possess a strong bias for action and a sense of ownership.


• Strong academic background or a proven track record of building significant, real-world products.

Nice to Have

• Familiarity and curiosity regarding trading, financial innovation, or cryptocurrency.


• Understands product and UI/UX design, and proficient in using tools such as Figma.


• Prior experience in a startup environment.
