Job summary

ACCA Careers is seeking a Forensic Auditor in Malaysia to leverage an audit foundation for investigative work, fraud detection, and litigation support. You will go beyond traditional auditing to uncover narratives behind the numbers and support high-stakes legal matters.

Responsibilities include deep-dives into financial data, evidence compilation, and collaboration with lawyers. Qualified CPAs/ACCA with 3–4 years of audit experience are preferred, with strong report-writing and analytical

Qualifications

• Background in external or internal financial audit.
• Strong grasp of financial reporting, audit methodologies, and internal controls.
• Robust analytical mindset with professional skepticism.
• Ability to translate complex financial issues into clear narratives.
• 3–4 years of relevant audit experience.
• CPA/ACCA or equivalent; CFE is a plus.
• Good report-writing skills with clear, persuasive findings.
• Experience in preparing expert reports and/or working with legal counsel in disputes.

Responsibilities

• Investigate financial irregularities and potential fraud using audit experience.
• Analyze financial statements, accounting records, and transactional data.
• Conduct forensic reviews and targeted investigations across business functions.
• Organize and analyze documentary evidence to support investigations.
• Reconstruct events and transactions to establish timelines and quantify losses.
• Prepare investigation/expert reports that are clear and court-defensible.
• Engage in case strategy discussions with lawyers and external advisors.
• Collaborate with internal audit, risk, and legal teams on sensitive matters.
