About the role

Banzen Motors Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced and skilled Foreman to join our automotive workshop team in Alor Gajah, Melaka. As our Foreman, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of our workshop, ensuring the efficient and timely completion of all vehicle repair and maintenance tasks. This is a full-time position, offering opportunities for career growth and development within our dynamic organisation.

What you'll be doing

• Supervise and coordinate the work of our team of automotive technicians and mechanics
• Assign tasks and monitor progress to ensure all jobs are completed to the highest standard and within the specified timeframe
• Inspect completed work to ensure it meets our quality standards and customer expectations
• Liaise with customers, providing updates on the status of their vehicles and addressing any concerns or issues
• Maintain detailed records of all work performed, including parts used and labour hours
• Provide guidance and training to less experienced members of the team, helping them to develop their skills and expertise
• Contribute to the overall efficiency and productivity of the workshop by identifying opportunities for process improvements

What we're looking for

• Extensive experience as a Foreman or Senior Automotive Technician, with a proven track record of successful team management and workshop operations
• Strong technical knowledge and expertise in automotive repair and maintenance, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex issues
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with customers and team members
• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to multitask and work under pressure
• A commitment to upholding high standards of quality and safety in all aspects of the job
• Relevant qualifications or certifications in automotive trades or a related field
