Fuji Bakery Supplies (M) Sdn Bhd is seeking a talented Food Scientist to join our dynamic team in Puncak Alam, Selangor. As a full-time Food Scientist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and safety of our bakery products, contributing to the company's success and growth.

What you'll be doing

Conducting thorough research and analysis to develop new and innovative bakery products that meet customer preferences and industry standards

Performing rigorous testing and evaluation of raw materials, ingredients, and finished products to ensure they meet quality and safety requirements

Collaborating with the production team to optimise manufacturing processes and troubleshoot any issues that arise

Staying up-to-date with the latest trends, regulations, and best practices in the food technology and safety industry

Providing technical expertise and support to the sales and marketing teams to assist in product development and customer service

Documenting and reporting on all research, testing, and development activities to ensure compliance with internal and external regulations

Modify ingredients to enhance flavor, texture, shelf life, and nutritional value.

What we're looking for

A Bachelor's degree or higher in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related field

Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar food science or product development role

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret and apply scientific data

Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to upholding the highest standards of quality and food safety

Proficient in the use of laboratory equipment and software for product testing and analysis

Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams

Knowledge of relevant food safety regulations and industry best practices

The products that we offer come in a vast variety, such as butter cake, banana cake, muffins, chiffon cake, swiss rolls, traditional hailam bread, baguettes, sandwich and other pastries too. Our products can be found in major hypermarkets, supermarkets and convenient stores throughout the Peninsula of Malaysia. Currently, we export to retailers in Singapore as well.

Since its humble beginning as a town-based bakery shop in 1997, Fuji Bakery has expanded beyond limits and was relocated to our modern new factory plant located in Puncak Alam, Selangor since 2008. Subsequent automation development allows us to operate from a strategic location with facilities that enable fast, efficient and cost effective production.

Our journey and spirit continues by taking advantage of the modern food processing technology coupled with strong entrepreneurship characteristic by our Founder, Mr. Tan Hook Chuan.
