About the job

Based at the Mandarin Oriental, Kuala Lumpur / within the Culinary Department in Kuala Lumpur, the Food Processor (Chinese Cuisine) is responsible for the preparation, service, hygiene quality and presentation, which covers Banquet, All-Day Dining, Club Floor and a la carte. The Food Processor (Chinese Cuisine) reports to the Executive Chinese Chef/ Chinese Sous Chef.

Responsibilities
  • The station assigned to him by his Executive Chinese Chef / Chinese Sous Chef
  • He/she helps his Head Food Processor/ Chinese Sous Chef to prepare food in accordance with the Standard Operating Procedures
  • He/she is to help preventing spoilage and overproduction through daily checks
  • Maintains communication between his supervisor and his subordinates
  • He/she is responsible for cleanliness and keeping of set hygiene standards in the assigned area
  • Ensures mise-en-place is always done according to the Standard Operating Procedures
