Overview

The Food Court Operations Manager is responsible in overall day-to-day Food Court operations, tenant coordination, POS system oversight, and compliance with health and safety standards.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee and manage all aspects of food service operations within The Starling Mall's food court.
  • Ensure smooth operations, including customer service, kitchen functionality, and tenant management.
  • Manage food court tenants, ensuring compliance with lease agreements and operational standards.
  • Foster and maintain positive relationships with food court tenants, addressing concerns and facilitate communication between tenants and mall management.
  • Ensure the food court operates in compliance with health and safety regulations, conducting regular inspections and implementing corrective measures as necessary.
  • Perform regular inspections of all areas, including tenant kitchens, to maintain cleanliness, hygiene and adherence to safety standards.
  • Manage the housekeeping team and perform inspections to maintain cleanliness and hygiene throughout the food court.
  • Work closely with the leasing and marketing teams to attract high footfall to the food court.
  • Assist in promotional activities and events to enhance the food court's visibility.
  • Collaborate with maintenance team on all food court's maintenance issues.
  • Ensure digital menus are updated regularly with accurate information and coordinate with tenants to facilitate menu changes and updates.
  • Oversee daily sales reconciliation processes, manage and troubleshoot any issues related to the Point of Sale (POS) system.
Qualifications
  • Possess Diploma or Degree in Marketing, Business Administration or its equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant food court working experience preferably in shopping malls.
  • Proven experience in food service or hospitality management.
  • Strong understanding of health and safety regulations in the food industry.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiating and problem-solving skills.
