A leading company in the food production sector is looking for a Purchasing Executive to oversee supplier evaluations and negotiate contracts. The role involves managing purchase orders, inventory control, and ensuring compliance with food safety standards. Candidates with a Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain or related fields and 1-2 years of relevant experience are encouraged to apply.
Source and evaluate suppliers for food ingredients, packaging, and kitchen equipment.
Negotiate pricing, contracts, and delivery terms to optimize cost and value.
Manage purchase orders aligned with production and outlet needs.
Coordinate deliveries, receiving, and storage in compliance with FIFO and safety standards.
Maintain accurate inventory records to minimize wastage and stockouts.
Ensure all procurement activities comply with HACCP, halal, and regulatory standards.
Assist with supplier audits and halal documentation for certification purposes.
Handle end-to-end invoice processes, including verifying supplier invoices, data entry into the procurement or accounting system, resolving discrepancies, and ensuring timely submission to Finance for payment—supporting accurate financial tracking and smooth vendor payment cycles.
Requirements:
Diploma/Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related field.
1–2 years of experience in procurement, logistics, or supply chain (preferably in F&B or hospitality).
Good knowledge of F&B supply chain, cold chain logistics, and food safety standards (e.g., Halal, HACCP, ISO 22000).
Proficient in Microsoft Office and familiar with inventory/procurement systems (e.g., iCHEF, MarketMan, NetSuite).
Strong in negotiation, vendor management, multitasking, and working under pressure.
Detail-oriented with good communication and teamwork across departments.
Added advantage: knowledge of seasonal ingredients, local sourcing, and perishable goods handling.
