Job summary

Shangri-La Rasa Ria in Kota Kinabalu is seeking a passionate Food & Beverage Associate to deliver warm, memorable service and uphold the hotel’s dining standards.

You will welcome guests, take orders, coordinate with kitchen and bar teams, and assist with cashiering, cleanliness, and safety compliance.

Fresh graduates welcome; Malaysian applicants preferred. Basic English required; additional languages a plus. Shifts include weekends and public holidays.

Qualifications

• SPM or equivalent qualification.
• Basic English proficiency.
• Fresh graduates encouraged to apply.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and escort guests in a warm and professional manner.
• Provide excellent food and beverage service according to restaurant standards.
• Take guests’ orders accurately, provide menu recommendations, and upsell.
• Prepare the restaurant before service (mise en place) and maintain cleanliness.
• Ensure tables are properly set and cleared according to service standards.
• Coordinate effectively with the kitchen and bar teams to ensure smooth operations.
• Handle guest enquiries and resolve concerns professionally, escalating issues when necessary.
• Follow food safety, hygiene, and workplace safety standards at all times.
• Assist with cashiering duties, opening and closing procedures, and inventory tasks when required.
