Role Purpose
Dispatch all MH & FOCA flights in accordance with policies, rules, and regulatory requirements for safe, legal, and efficient operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Flight Crew for the safety and operational control of flights from commencement to termination. Investigate any overdue departures, enroute deviations, or arrival delays exceeding 10 minutes.
- Analyze and evaluate meteorological information to identify potential hazards and select the most desirable and economical flight routes.
- Calculate fuel requirements for safe flight completion based on aircraft type, flight distance, maintenance limitations, weather, and regulatory minimums.
- Monitor weather conditions, aircraft position reports, and navigation charts to evaluate flight progress. Update pilots on significant weather or plan changes and recommend alternatives for safety and economy.
- Ensure all mandatory flight documentation is prepared and uploaded across the system for all flights.
Qualifications
Degree in any field with at least 1 year of airline industry experience or Diploma with at least 2 years of airline experience.
Skills & Knowledge
- Holder of a Flight Dispatcher License authorized by DCA Malaysia, conforming to ICAO, FAA, and JAA standards (preferred).
- Proficient in Windows applications: Word, PowerPoint, Excel.
- Strong analytical skills, especially in Mathematics and Physics.
- Ability to work independently.
