Job summary

Jabil in Penang, Malaysia invites applications for a Finance Fixed Asset Intern to support daily Fixed Asset accounting, asset records, and month-end close activities. You will utilize Excel for data analytics and participate in meetings to understand asset processes.

As an intern you will work with SAP and the Global Business Services finance environment, guided by a buddy/mentor to develop fixed asset, analytical, and professional skills in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• Strong interest in accounting operations and financial processes.
• Basic understanding of accounting concepts.
• Microsoft Excel proficiency (PivotTable, basic formulas).
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong attention to detail and high accuracy for accounting tasks.
• Good analytical and problem-solving ability.
• Good organization, following standard processes in day-to-day tasks.
• Willingness to learn and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Mandarin proficiency is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Support the team on daily Fixed Asset accounting activities.
• Assist with maintaining and reviewing fixed asset records.
• Support month-end closing activities.
• Assist in data analytics and reporting documentation by utilizing Excel.
• Participate in meetings and discussions related to Fixed Asset activities.
• Adhere to company policies, internal controls, and compliance requirements while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality of financial information.
• Participate actively in training and development opportunities while working closely with a dedicated buddy/mentor to build fixed asset, analytical, and professional skills.
