We are looking for a First Line Manager to ensure Employee Safety, Product Quality and Asset Performance while delivering on time the Shift Production Plan.

A day in the life of...

  1. Ensure the timely deployment of People development plan and assure the competencies of his/her team as per the agreed plan with PM (proper training inc. equipment, safety procedures, hygiene).
  2. Enforce strict compliance to standard operating procedures (SOPs) by all personnel within the shift.
  3. Coach employees to fulfill and exceed the requirements of the job through NCE approach.
  4. Ensure that the working areas are kept clean and are maintained in working order including all installations in accordance Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
  5. Check and enforce personnel hygiene & safety e.g. protective clothing (uniform), shoe change & hand wash.
  6. Support in leading a continuous improvement/employee involvement culture through NCE approach. Drive for excellence and support operators and staff in their tasks.
  7. Provide timely feedback and coaching to individuals and team in order to develop them to their full potential and to achieve objectives in accordance with NCE guidelines.
  8. Ensure succession plans and development - coaching of direct reports (where applicable) including development of specific training.
  9. Ensure that there is an adequate distribution of skills to enable production plan to be achieved effectively.
  10. Ensure timely launch of new products to the Market as per agreed with the business unit.
  11. Ensure adequate maintenance of the installations in coordination with quality, engineering & administration.
What Will Make You Successful,

  1. Proved matured knowledge in food manufacturing or Degree in Food science, engineering, or any related field.
  2. Had a relevant work experience in Manufacturing industry either during or after studies.
  3. Good attitude to work and ability to interact with people.
  4. Demonstration of leadership ability by leading a project within a factory environment.
  5. Demonstration of Leadership skills in positively confronting inappropriate behaviour and using everyday coaching to ensure involvement of the workforce (experience in managing a unionized shopfloors would be an added advantage).
  6. Able to converse, read and write in Bahasa Malaysia and English.
  7. Able to work in shifts.
