Job summary

International SOS is seeking a FinOps Engineer in Kuala Lumpur to optimize cloud spend across AWS and Azure and lead token management for AI tools. The role bridges Engineering, Finance, and Product to implement cost as a metric and automated governance.

You will build dashboards, enforce tagging, and drive cost governance with FP&A and IT leadership, while monitoring for anomalies and guiding investment decisions.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with cloud billing constructs (AWS CUR, Azure Billing APIs).
• Proficient in SQL, Python and BI tools (Power BI/Tableau) for data analysis and reporting.
• Strong understanding of pricing models and discounts for AWS and Azure.
• Ability to translate technical architectures into financial business impacts.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain unified cloud spend dashboards for real-time cost visibility.
• Manage token usage and optimization within AI tools as part of FinOps practice.
• Define tagging taxonomy to attribute costs to products, teams and environments.
• Drive cost savings through commitment-based options and governance.
• Automate waste cleanup and coordinate with Finance for forecasts and variance explanations.
• Configure alerts for cost anomalies and coordinate remediation with DevOps.
• Provide investment advisory based on FinOps insights for IT leadership.
