Job summary

Samtec, Inc is seeking a Finished Goods Inspector in Malaysia to verify parts and processes for conformance to standards. You will inspect materials using digital calipers and x-ray machines and maintain inspection records.

Experience requirement includes a minimum of one year in an inventory, shipping, receiving, or manufacturing environment, with on‑the‑job training provided. This role is based in Johor Bahru.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year in an inventory, shipping, receiving, or manufacturing environment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds from floor to waist.
• Vision 20/40 with color acuity.
• Ability to sit or stand for at least 90 consecutive minutes.

Responsibilities

• Compare product BOM parts lists or material part numbers to ensure completion of component or assembly orders.
• Verify specified dimensions on product or material using inspection equipment.
• Input quality findings into Samtec's computerized quality system.
• Perform a variety of tasks requiring knowledge of inspection techniques, materials, equipment, and Samtec Systems.
• Ensure conformance to quality specifications by working from engineering drawings, sketches, manuals, or prototypes.
• Work in compliance with QA procedures to ensure quality and consistency in inspection criteria.
• Assist in creating and designing QA procedures and programs to meet department objectives.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation of inspections performed.
