Objectives of the Position
- Deliver Financial Reporting services to BSSCKL‘s customers in accordance with established processes and policies, ensuring compliance with legal and statutory requirements.
- Ensure timely delivery and quality of financial reports meeting service level targets.
- Assist with and perform Financial Reporting tasks as required.
Main Tasks
Functional Tasks
- Provide support for Financial Reporting transactions, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness daily.
- Perform booking, analysis, and reconciliation of accounting transactions, including fixed assets and master data.
- Conduct analytical reviews of accounts, prepare financial reports, and coordinate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities.
- Troubleshoot issues, liaise with stakeholders, and participate in working groups.
- Perform backup duties and other delegated tasks.
Compliance and Quality
- Participate in audits and respond to queries.
- Maintain documentation and processes in line with policies and legal requirements.
Continuous Improvement and Projects
- Identify and implement improvement opportunities.
- Support project initiatives like technology upgrades and internal controls.
Knowledge Management
- Contribute to training materials and participate in training programs.
- Update procedures and issue logs, sharing best practices and supporting team development.
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Coordinate with internal teams, auditors, and external consultants.
Job Supervision
- Work is regularly supervised.
Requirements
Education: Degree in finance, accounting, or business; or professional accounting qualification.
Experience: Minimum 3 years in Financial Reporting or related fields; ERP experience preferred; experience in shared services or MNCs is advantageous.
Knowledge: Financial reporting standards, MS Office, proficiency in English and other languages.
Additional: Candidates must reside in or have the right to work in Malaysia.
