Job description

The Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Manager is responsible for overseeing financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis to support strategic decision-making. This role involves collaborating with senior leadership to provide insights, drive financial performance, and ensure the company meets its financial goals.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Lead the annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and long-term financial planning processes.
  2. Develop financial models to evaluate business performance and scenario analysis.
  3. Monitor variances between actuals and forecasts, providing actionable insights.
  4. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management and stakeholders.
  5. Analyze financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow) to identify trends and risks.
  6. Provide ad-hoc financial analysis to support business decisions.

Business Partnering & Strategy

  1. Collaborate with department heads to align financial plans with operational goals.
  2. Support M&A activities, investment decisions, and cost optimization initiatives.
  3. Evaluate profitability and ROI for new projects or business lines.

Process Improvement

  1. Enhance financial systems, reporting tools, and automation for efficiency.
  2. Implement best practices in financial planning and data analytics.
  3. Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.

Leadership & Team Development

  1. Manage and mentor a team of financial analysts.
  2. Foster cross-functional collaboration with Accounting, Sales and marketing, Operations, and Executive teams.

Qualifications & Skills

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred.

Experience: 5+ years in FP&A, corporate finance, or investment banking; prior management experience required.

Technical Skills:

  1. Advanced Excel and financial modeling expertise.
  2. Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
  3. Knowledge of GAAP/IFRS and financial reporting standards.

Soft Skills:

  1. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  2. Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  3. Ability to influence stakeholders and drive strategic initiatives.
