Job summary

Envision Talent Sdn Bhd in Malaysia is seeking an experienced FP&A & Treasury Manager to own budgeting, forecasting, costing and performance management from day one. This role demands hands-on leadership, established frameworks and the ability to deliver strategic financial guidance to senior management across the group.

You will lead budgeting, forecasting, costing, finance business partnering, and reporting, driving cost optimisation, cash flow planning and automation with tools like

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance or related field.
• ACCA/CIMA/CPA or equivalent is a plus.
• 8–10 years of FP&A, commercial finance or costing experience.
• Proven ownership of budgeting, forecasting and planning.

Responsibilities

• Lead annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting and long-term financial planning.
• Develop budgeting templates, planning assumptions and forecasting models.
• Consolidate departmental budgets and challenge business assumptions.
• Perform variance analysis and provide recommendations to management.
• Develop a costing model for products, services, projects and business units.
• Analyse cost structures, operational expenses and profitability across departments.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising operational effectiveness.
• Evaluate capital expenditure proposals, business cases and ROI analyses.
• Translate financial information into meaningful commercial insights to support decisions.
• Deliver timely monthly management reports, dashboards and variance analyses.
• Automate recurring analysis and dashboards using Excel, Power BI or equivalent tools.
• Strengthen internal controls and cost governance.
• Drive cash flow management and liquidity planning.

Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) & Treasury Manager

We are seeking an experienced, hands-on FP&A & Treasury Manager who can independently take ownership of the Group’s budgeting, forecasting, costing and performance management activities from day one. This is not a developmental or support role. The successful candidate is expected to bring proven practices, establish fit-for-purpose frameworks and provide clear commercial guidance to management and department leaders.

We are seeking someone who can immediately take ownership, improve existing processes, build financial frameworks and provide strategic financial guidance to management without requiring extensive training.

Candidates based in KL, PJ, and Penang (PG) are all encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

1. Budgeting, Forecasting & Financial Planning

Lead annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting and long-term financial planning.

Develop budgeting templates, planning assumptions and forecasting models.

Consolidate departmental budgets and challenge business assumptions.

Perform variance analysis and provide recommendations to management.

2. Costing, Cost Control & Profitability

Develop a costing model for products, services, projects and business units.

Analyse cost structures, operational expenses and profitability across departments.

Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising operational effectiveness.

Evaluate capital expenditure proposals, business cases and investment opportunities through ROI, payback period and financial feasibility analysis.

3. Finance Business Partnering

Translate financial information into meaningful commercial insights that support strategic decision-making.

Provide financial guidance on business initiatives, operational planning and investment decisions.

Challenge budget assumptions, spending requests and resource allocation from a commercial perspective.

Facilitate regular business performance reviews and recommend corrective actions where necessary.

4. Management Reporting & Performance Insight

Deliver timely monthly management reports, dashboards, variance analyses presentations.

Explain actual versus budget/forecast performance, identify root causes and recommend corrective actions.

Monitor financial and operational KPIs relevant to each function and business unit.

5. Framework, Process & Capability Building

Assess current planning, costing and reporting practices, then independently design and implement practical improvements.

Automate recurring analysis and dashboards using Excel, Power BI or equivalent tools.

Strengthen internal controls, cost governance and accountability without creating unnecessary operational complexity.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration or a related discipline.

Professional qualifications such as ACCA, CIMA, CPA or equivalent will be an added advantage.

Minimum 8-10 years of experience in FP&A, commercial finance, costing, or finance business partnering, including meaningful ownership at manager contributor level.

Proven track record in independently leading budgeting, forecasting and financial planning.

Highly analytical, commercially minded and hands-on; able to work with ambiguity, establish structure and deliver with limited supervision.

Excellent stakeholder management, presentation and influencing skills, with the confidence to challenge senior stakeholders constructively.
