A Financial Data Entry Clerk is responsible for accurately entering, updating, and maintaining financial and accounting data within an organization’s systems. This role requires strong attention to detail, a high level of accuracy, and the ability to work with confidential and sensitive information. The clerk supports the finance or accounting team by ensuring timely and precise data processing to facilitate reporting, audits, and financial analysis.

Financial Data Entry Clerk – Job Scope

A Financial Data Entry Clerk is responsible for accurately entering, updating, and maintaining financial and accounting data within an organization’s systems. This role requires strong attention to detail, a high level of accuracy, and the ability to work with confidential and sensitive information. The clerk supports the finance or accounting team by ensuring timely and precise data processing to facilitate reporting, audits, and financial analysis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Enter and update financial transactions into databases, spreadsheets, or accounting software.

  • Verify the accuracy of financial data and correct errors as needed.

  • Assist in reconciling statements, and financial records.

  • Compile data (Balance Sheet, Income, Cashflow Statements, Notes to financials etc.) available in financial reports (Annual, Quarterly Reports etc.) into our database.

  • Handle any financial and non-financial data input and ensure accuracy of released date information. Assist in providing and amending information upon customer's request.

  • Generate basic financial reports

  • Collaborate with the team leader to ensure data consistency and accuracy.

  • Comply with data privacy and financial regulations.

Skills and Qualifications
  • High attention to detail and accuracy

  • Strong numerical and analytical skills

  • Familiarity with basic accounting principles

  • Ability to manage time and meet deadlines

  • Discretion and professionalism when handling sensitive data

Education

  • SPM holders, Diploma or Fresh Graduates in any discipline are encourage to apply for this entry level position.
