Description
- Report directly to the Finance Director to oversee and lead core financial reporting functions, including financial & management reporting, financial planning and budgeting, treasury, funding, tax management, policy development, and related legal work.
- Oversee and participate in feasibility studies and due diligence on potential investments, organizational budgeting, and assessing the cost-effectiveness of manufacturing plants, advising on the investment impact on cash flow and profits.
- Develop and maintain good relationships with banks, audit firms, and regulators.
- Ensure internal controls are in place and that the company complies with regulatory laws and rules related to financial, statutory, audit, and tax reporting.
- Plan and implement risk management strategies to create economic value, particularly managing credit and market risks.
- Source funding, evaluate, and apply for financing and loan instruments.
- Oversee cash flow projections, manage payment and collection schedules to ensure efficiency in cash management.
- Lead periodic budget reviews with the team to evaluate financial performance.
- Develop tools and systems to provide critical financial and operational information, and recommend strategic and operational improvements.
- Perform any other ad-hoc functions assigned by management.
Profile
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field. A Master's degree is an advantage.
- Minimum of 8 years' experience in a similar role.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience as a financial controller or in management roles is advantageous.
- Experience liaising with banks regarding funding and project accounting.
- Strong commercial awareness and business acumen.
- Knowledge of manufacturing financial operations is a plus.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop others.
- Proactive, visionary, and willing to take calculated risks for business growth.
- Attention to detail, alertness, and ability to identify growth and cost-saving opportunities, as well as process improvements.
- Strong understanding of the latest accounting standards.
- Excellent reporting and organizational skills.
Job Offer
You will be rewarded with an attractive package of RM 18,000 - RM 25,000 monthly.
