Job summary
A prominent hotel group seeks a Financial Controller to oversee all financial matters. You will play a crucial role in ensuring profitability through strategic financial planning, compliance with regulations, and mentoring the finance team. Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Financial Controller.
- Experience in the hotel/hospitality industry preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and hotel accounting software.

Job Descriptions
- Financial Planning & Reporting
- Responsible for the hotel‘s overall accounting and financial management requirements.
- To prepare, review and submit management reports in a timely manner, and ensuring delivery deadlines are met.
- Prepare and review annual budgets, monthly forecasts, and operating results.
- Lead and facilitate the achievement of hotel’s annual goals and targets to ensure profitability and revenue growth.
- Evaluate pricing strategies and provide financial insights to optimize revenue streams.
- Manage working capital and cash flow; analyze financial data and market trends to produce accurate forecasts that maximize value.
- Present financial performance and recommendations to senior leadership in regular meetings.
- Internal Controls & Compliance
- Implement appropriate controls to manage business and financial risks. Ensure a strong accounting and operational control environment to safeguard assets, enhance operations, and improve profitability. Ensure compliance with standard operating procedures, local policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee audits and ensure that any financial discrepancies are identified and addressed promptly.
- Team Leadership & Development
- Mentor and develop the finance team, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Income Audit, & General Ledger (GL), fostering a strong culture of continuous improvement and high efficiency.
- Ensures employees establish and maintain open, collaborative relationships within their team.
- Identify and implement systems or tools suitable for improving team efficiency.
- Any other tasks assigned by the Management from time to time
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Financial Controller; experience in the hotel/hospitality industry preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, with experience using hotel accounting software such as Q3 Financial Cloud, Opera, and Material Control (MC).
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
