Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to oversee annual financial reporting, including ESG and corporate governance, and quarterly results announcements. You will consolidate quarterly, half-year and year-end results, prepare SGXNet announcements, budgets and forecasts, and manage treasury activities.

The role requires collaboration with internal auditors, sponsors, lawyers and bankers to strengthen controls and ensure regulatory compliance, while overseeing system

Qualifications

  • Degree in finance/accounting or CPA/ACCA or equivalent is preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant working experience and have experience in handling listing requirements for a Singapore Listed Company.
  • Effective communication
  • Experience in Group finance roles and/or real estate industry is a plus.
  • Must be hands on, well-organised and be able to work independently.
  • Team oriented, deadline driven and with a keen sense of learning.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong accounting and finance technical proficiency.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Words and presentation.

Responsibilities

  • Preparation of annual financial report which includes ESG and corporate governance and quarterly financial results announcement
  • Prepare quarter, half-year and year-end consolidation for reporting purposes
  • Prepare announcements for release on SGXNet
  • Prepare budgets and forecast for quarterly management meeting
  • Responsible for treasury and cash receipts/payments
  • Implement/improve internal control process and work closely with internal auditor to rectify any lapses in control process
  • Oversee and manage accounting system migration
  • Oversee and provide support to the finance team on any accounting matters
  • Liaise with internal and external auditors, sponsors, lawyers, bankers and other professional parties
