Job summary

Eco-shop Malaysia in Petaling Jaya seeks a Financial Analyst to turn data into actionable insights. You will analyze weekly and monthly results, build models, and support planning and decision making.

You will collaborate with stakeholders and the accounting team to improve performance, manage budgets and rolling forecasts, and develop automated reports and forecasting tools to boost productivity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, finance, economics, or related field.
• 1–3 years experience in the retail industry, fresh graduates welcome.
• Proficiency with databases and financial software applications.
• Strong analytical mind with attention to accuracy and detail.

Responsibilities

• Analyze past results (weekly and monthly), perform variance analysis, identify trends, and make recommendations for improvements.
• Create financial models based on analyses to support organizational decision making.
• Identify and drive process improvements, including standard and ad-hoc reports, tools, and Excel dashboards.
• Increase productivity by developing automated reporting/forecasting tools.
• Work closely with stakeholders to improve their department's performance.
• Work closely with the accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Perform budgeting and rolling forecast of company's / department's performance.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
