Job description

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Prepare and analyze Business Unit financial reports on a recurring and/or adhoc basis
  2. Perform inventory related transactions such as standard cost roll, hub-inventory, goods-in-transit, profit elimination adjustments, etc.
  3. Account for business specific transactions such as non-recurring expense (NRE), sales rebate, sales return, sales/costs deferral, IO management, etc.
  4. Ensure reconciliation of inter-company transactions are in order
  5. Prepare journals and review financial statements for month end closing
  6. Ensure finance related processes, policies, and deliverables are compliant with SOX baseline and controls
  7. Prepare balance sheet reconciliation schedules
  8. Ensure timely and accurate submission of management reports, including addressing queries from Corporate office and external stakeholders (internal and external)
  9. Provide commentaries for variance analysis and highlight any significant problem areas
  10. Work closely with Business unit and counterparts from other plants in weekly indicator and forecasts
  11. Collaborate with other function teams in routine/adhoc tasks and projects
  12. Participate in Finance improvement projects
  13. Support ad-hoc tasks and perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
  14. Manage external and internal audit requirements
  15. Exposure and basic knowledge of transfer pricing models
  16. Exposure and basic knowledge of US and China taxation would be an advantage

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATION:

  1. Qualified Accountant with 2-3 years (analyst) or 3 to 5 years (snr analyst) relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, or experience. Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration preferred
  2. Excellent written and oral communication skills in both English and Mandarin
  3. Advanced PC skills, including training and knowledge of Jabil’s software packages. Excellent computer skills, particularly with MS Excel and Macros are required to be successful in this role. SAP, TM1, and Power BI experience will be an added advantage
  4. Ability to effectively communicate with all levels including management level
