Job summary

Flowserve Corporation is seeking a Financial Analyst in Kuala Lumpur to analyze financial data and support business decisions. You will examine macro/microeconomic conditions and company fundamentals to forecast performance.

Key duties include cost analysis, backlog reviews, monthly reconciliations under US GAAP and local GAAP, and maintaining SOX compliance. A BS/BA with 5–7 years of relevant experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Extensive Excel 2010 knowledge including pivot tables and lookups.
• Knowledge of IFRS or US GAAP and SOX regulations.
• Experience with structured ERP systems (Oracle or SAP) and consolidated reporting.
• Experience in the manufacturing industry is highly desirable.
• MS Access knowledge is valuable.

Responsibilities

• Cost Analysis and Reporting: review and analysis of project costing, gross margin, direct charges, inventory evaluation.
• Bookings and Backlog: review and report proper net Backlog values monthly.
• Monthly reconciliations: balance sheet and P&L per US GAAP and local GAAP.
• SOX compliance: maintain SOX compliance with accounting policies and local regulations.
• Statutory Accounts: support for the annual financial statements.

Job Summary: The Financial Analyst examines financial data and uses their findings to help the company to make business decisions. More specifically, the Financial Analysts research macroeconomic and microeconomic conditions along with company fundamentals to make predictions about businesses, sectors, and industries.

Responsibilities & Requirements:

• Cost Analysis and Reporting: review and analysis of project costing, gross margin analysis, direct charges, inventory evaluation.
• Bookings and Backlog: review and report proper net Backlog values on a monthly basis.
• Monthly reconciliations: balance sheet and P&L in accordance to US GAAP and local GAAP.
• Sox and Audit: maintain Sox compliance with Group Accounting Policies, Statutory Accounting Principles and Legal/Fiscal local regulations.
• Statutory Accounts: support for the Annual Financial Statement preparation

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• Extensive Excel 2010 knowledge including advanced functions with Excel required (Pivot tables, Vlook ups, etc)
• Working knowledge of IFRS or US GAAP and SOX regulations
• Experience with structured ERP, Oracle or SAP and consolidated reporting systems.
• Experience in manufacturing industry is highly desirable
• Knowledge of Microsoft Access is valuable
• BS or BA Degree in relevant field and 5-7 years relevant experience
