Job summary

cbs APAC is seeking a Senior Financial Accountant in Kuala Lumpur to lead accounting for multiple entities in Asia. You will own general ledger processes, prepare financial statements, and support group reporting with accuracy and compliance.

You will liaise with auditors and tax consultants, drive finance process improvements, and contribute to regional and global transformation initiatives in a collaborative, international environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in Finance or related field.
• 10+ years of professional accounting experience.
• Hands-on SAP ERP experience (R/3 or S/4HANA).
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work independently with multiple priorities in an international environment.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Experience in international/multicultural environment is an advantage.

Role Overview / Summary

• Preparation of financial statements for one or more legal entities within the cbs Group in Asia
• Support in group reporting activities and financial analysis
• Ownership of general ledger accounting and reconciliation processes
• Ensure the completeness, accuracy, and compliance of accounting records
• Liaise with auditors, tax consultants, and cross-functional business partners
• Drive continuous improvement and standardization of finance processes
• Contribute to regional and global finance transformation initiatives
• Ensure adherence to legal, regulatory, and internal compliance requirements

Required capabilities (skills, experiences, competencies)

• Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field
• Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in accounting.
• Hands-on experience with SAP ERP systems (R/3 and/or S/4HANA)
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in an international environment
• Excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken
• Experience in an international and multicultural business environment is an advantage
