Job summary

Epsom College Malaysia seeks a Finance Manager to oversee the financial health and operational efficiency of our international school. Reporting to the Finance General Manager, you will manage budgeting, financial reporting, and compliance.

A key focus is digital transformation; lead the finance function toward a paperless, automated environment, implementing new software and ERP modules, with training for staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required.
• 5–7 years of progressive finance experience; education sector preferred.
• ACCA/CPA/CIMA/MIA or active pursuit preferred.
• Experience with ERP systems is an advantage.
• Strong IT, system automation and fintech interest.

Responsibilities

• Generate financial reports and interpret information for managerial staff, offering recommendations for action.
• Oversee the finance department operations, including reporting, AR, and AP.
• Lead the annual budgeting process with academic departments to align resources with school goals.
• Monitor cash flow, investments, and capex for long-term fiscal sustainability.
• Research and assess current financial tech stack; identify gaps and inefficiencies.
• Lead end-to-end implementation of new accounting software and ERP modules.
• Redesign workflows to leverage automation and reduce turnaround times.
• Conduct workshops for finance and school staff on new systems.
• Ensure compliance with SST/Service Tax and e-invoicing; liaise with auditors.
• Develop and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard assets.
