Job summary

SUN PHARMA is seeking a motivated Finance Trainee under the PROTÉGÉ Programme in Kuala Lumpur to support the Finance team with day-to-day accounting and financial operations.

This role offers hands-on exposure to financial reporting, accounts payable/receivable, budgeting, month-end closing, and compliance, with opportunities to learn from seasoned professionals and contribute to process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Basic knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Good analytical and numerical skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Assist in processing invoices, staff claims, and payment requests.
• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.
• Assist in maintaining accurate financial records and documentation.
• Prepare journal entries and update accounting records.
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Assist in bank reconciliation and account reconciliations.
• Help prepare financial reports, schedules, and analysis.
• Ensure proper filing and maintenance of finance documents.
• Assist in audit preparation and compliance-related activities.
• Support budget tracking and expense monitoring.
• Collaborate with internal departments on finance-related matters.
• Perform other duties assigned by the Finance Manager.
