Job description

Overview:

As a Finance specialist, you will be responsible for full set of accounting activities which includes preparation of financial month end closing, handling accounts payable operations, managing fixed assets, inventory management, annual budgeting, rolling forecast, audit and tax.

Your Responsibilities:

  1. Handle full set of accounts which includes month end closing and handling daily operational matters.
  2. Handle accounts payable function, including processing and verifying all AP related transactions and ensuring they are supported by relevant documents, and ensuring payments are made in accordance with the payment terms.
  3. Manage the full spectrum of fixed asset and inventory management.
  4. Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts, cash flow statements, annual budgeting, and planning cycles.
  5. Assist in handling reports on stock movement and stock reconciliation.
  6. Work closely with the Finance Manager to ensure that all financial transactions are accurately recorded and reported.
  7. Collaborate with the Finance Manager in handling queries from vendors, customers, and stakeholders to resolve disputes and discrepancies if any arise.
  8. Support in in-depth financial analysis work if required.
  9. Drive improvements in accounting systems and processes alongside the Finance Manager.
  10. Assist in the preparation of tax returns, service tax submissions, and audits.
  11. Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, company secretary, and other professionals to ensure compliance on all matters relating to audit, tax, compliance, and statutory requirements.
  12. Assist in other ad-hoc assignments as required.

What You Need:

• Candidate must possess at least an Advanced diploma/Degree in Accounting/ Finance, LCCI, or equivalent professional qualifications such as CIMA, ACCA, ICAEW, CPA, etc.

• Prefer candidates with at least 2-3 years of audit experience.

• Good command of written and spoken English.

• Independent, requiring minimum supervision.

• A team player with a good working attitude, ability to learn quickly, and work in a fast-paced and fun environment.

• Experience in the solar industry will be an added advantage.
