Responsible to manage day-to-day finance and accounting operations, ensuring timely reconciliation and reporting of all financial statements and prepares financial analysis for Director and other key stakeholders.
Oversee month end journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations and ensuring accounting schedules are updated and accurate.
Handle and submission of full sets of accounts on timely basis.
Performing fiscal year-end closing activities and assisting with activities and requirements of external auditors.
Liaise with external stakeholder including company secretary, bankers and other statutory organizations.
Continually seeking and implementing opportunities to streamline and improve finance and accounting operations.
To perform any other duties as assigned by management to meet organizational requirements.
Department & Staff Management
Lead, supervise, and mentor the finance and accounts team to ensure efficiency and high performance.
Assign tasks, monitor workload distribution, and ensure adherence to deadlines and financial policies.
Conduct performance evaluations, identify training needs, and provide guidance to enhance team development.
Implement best practices and process improvements to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of financial operations.
Requirements:
Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting.
Member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA) is added advantage.
Minimum 5-8 years of experience in financial management.
Strong knowledge of financial regulations, taxation, and accounting standards (e.g., MFRS/IFRS).
Proven experience in leading and managing a finance team, including performance management and staff development.
Excellent leadership, analytical, and communication skills.
Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities effectively.
