A leading logistics provider in Malaysia seeks a Financial Analyst to support financial reporting and strategic initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess a degree in Accounting or Finance, along with 2-3 years of relevant experience. You will analyze financial data, prepare reports, and drive process improvements in a fast-paced environment.
Job Description
1. Collaborate with GL team and various functions for accurate financial reporting and decision support.
2. Identify and drive process improvements to meet month-end closing timelines.
3. Work with various functions to implement improvements.
4. Reconcile transactions by comparing and correcting data.
5. Provide weekly P&L and analysis report to related departments.
6. Consolidating and analyzing financial data, taking into account company’s goals and financial standing.
7. Prepare and submit monthly analysis reports.
8. Handle management ad-hoc request.
9. Support the implementation and monitoring of strategic initiatives, providing analytical insights to evaluate their effectiveness.
10. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support financial initiatives, providing guidance and insights to achieve departmental and organizational goals.
Job Requirements
• Minimum Degree in Accounting or Finance
• At least 2-3 years of related experience.
• Proficient in spreadsheets, databases, MS Office and financial software
applications
• Hands on experience with statistical analysis and statistical packages
• Good interpersonal skills, reporting and communication skills.
• Proven knowledge of financial forecasting and diagnosis, corporate finance
and information analysis
• High standards of accuracy and precision, highly organized and attention to
details
• Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to communicate in Mandarin/Cantonese will be an added advantage.
