Job Description
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliations of cash, position, and transaction data across custodian, fund administrator, and internal records.
- Investigate and resolve reconciliation breaks in a timely manner, escalating issues where appropriate.
- Collaborate with middle office, fund accounting, and external counterparties to ensure data alignment and proper exception management.
- Assist in the month-end close process by preparing reconciliation summaries and supporting documentation.
- Support audits and compliance reviews by maintaining proper records and responding to information requests.
- Work closely with technology teams to enhance reconciliation tools and automation workflows.
The Successful Applicant
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
- 1 or 2 years of experience in financial operations, preferably within an investment or asset management firm.
- Strong understanding of financial instruments (equities, fixed income, derivatives) and investment accounting principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with reconciliation tools or investment systems (e.g., BlackRock Aladdin, Eagle, Geneva) is a plus.
- High attention to detail and analytical mindset.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work across teams and external partners.
