Malaysian Life Reinsurance Group Berhad (ML Re) is seeking an Assistant Manager, Finance Operations & Investment to join our Kuala Lumpur team. You will oversee daily finance activities, cash flow management, and support investment operations.

The role requires 5–7 years in finance or audit, a Finance/Accounting degree, and experience in insurance. You will work with stakeholders across functions to ensure compliance, accurate reporting, and timely investment papers for the Investment Committee.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of relevant experience in finance/audit.
• Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
• Insurance industry experience preferred.
• Knowledge of financial reporting standards and regulatory requirements.
• Exposure to Retakaful is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end daily finance operations including receipting and payments.
• Review and verify financial transactions for audit and compliance.
• Manage fixed assets with physical verification and records.
• Supervise daily cash flow and liquidity management.
• Prepare rolling cash flow forecasts (daily/weekly).
• Support investment operations and liaise with asset managers.
• Assist in preparing investment papers for the Investment Committee.
• Maintain investment transaction records and positions.
• Prepare schedules for management reporting, audit and tax.
• Ensure timely submission of reports in line with requirements.
