This multinational company specialises in manufacturing, engineering and designing edge-cutting products for their customers. Due to an expansion in the team, they are looking for a Finance Manager to lead the Accounting and Finance team.
Your new role
As the main pillar in the Finance team, you will be in charge of:
- Ensure adherence to financial regulations, internal controls, and corporate policies.
- Maintain accurate financial records as per statutory and internal requirements.
- Support audits and implement recommendations for better compliance and risk management.
- Manage costing and ensure data accuracy in the ERP system (SAP).
- Oversee plant controlling activities, providing financial analysis and reporting.
- Develop and optimise cost-control measures.
- Provide costing insights to support pricing, operations, and strategic planning
- Manage all financial cycles (monthly closing, budgeting, etc.), ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Assist in key financial tasks and lead the budgeting process.
- Provide financial performance visibility to stakeholders and collaborate for improved results.
- Advise operational teams with financial data analysis and support non-finance colleagues.
- Ensure accuracy in inventory records and processes.
- Assess financial provisions for non-rotating or obsolete stock periodically.
- Lead stock takes activities and resolves variances.
- Work with operations teams to maintain optimal inventory levels.
- Determine and support capex budgets with plant management.
- Validate payback calculations for capex initiatives and prioritise budgets.
- Assess fixed asset valuation periodically and lead asset counts.
- Conduct quarterly balance sheet reviews to ensure accuracy.
- Act as a strategic partner to the Plant Management Team, providing financial insights.
- Foster cross-functional collaboration and promote a cost-conscious mindset.
- Design and deliver financial training programs for non-finance teams.
- Provide strategic insights to drive business growth and seek process improvements.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you must be:
- Minimum 10 years of working experience in the Accounting and Finance field, preferably from Manufacturing or Build Materials industries
- A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and Finance, with a professional qualification (ACCA, ICAEW, CPA or equivalent) is an added advantage.
- In-depth knowledge of costing, financial compliance, and reporting.
- Good hands-on knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, PowerBI, SAP
- Strong commitment to accuracy, ensuring integrity in all financial processes and reporting.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strategic thinking and leadership skills.
- Strong communication (English, verbal and written) and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build effective relationships and ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Ability to inspire and grow a cost-aware culture across the organisation.
