Job Description
You will be responsible for:
- Financial Accounting & Reporting:
- Oversee all accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and fixed asset management.
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of financial transactions.
- Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS).
- Generate management accounts and reports, providing analysis of financial performance to stakeholders.
- Prepare supporting schedules for financial audits.
- Budgeting & Forecasting:
- Assist in developing the annual budget and financial forecasts.
- Monitor financial performance against budgets, analyzing variances.
- Provide insights to manage costs and optimize spending.
- Cash Flow & Treasury Management:
- Monitor cash balances and manage cash flow for liquidity.
- Prepare cash flow forecasts.
- Manage banking relationships.
- Tax & Statutory Compliance:
- Ensure timely submission of statutory filings, including corporate tax, SST, and withholding tax.
- Liaise with tax agents, auditors, and regulatory bodies.
- Stay updated on tax laws and standards.
- Internal Controls & Process Improvement:
- Implement internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure data accuracy.
- Identify process improvement opportunities.
- Ensure policy adherence.
- Team Leadership & Development:
- Supervise and mentor finance team members.
- Foster a collaborative environment.
- Conduct performance reviews and support professional growth.
- Financial Analysis & Support:
- Conduct financial analysis to support business decisions.
- Provide insights for operational planning.
The Successful Applicant
You are suitable if you have:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA Australia, CIMA, or MIA membership is preferred.
- At least 5-8 years of experience in finance or accounting, with 2-3 years in a supervisory role in Malaysia.
- Strong knowledge of MFRS and Malaysian tax laws.
- Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, Xero, SQL Accounting).
- Advanced Excel skills for financial modeling.
- Excellent analytical and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication skills to explain financial data to non-finance colleagues.
- High integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
What's on Offer
An attractive monthly salary of RM 11,000 to RM 15,000.
