Description
You will be responsible for:
- Financial Accounting & Reporting:
* Oversee all accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and fixed asset management.
* Ensure accurate and timely processing of all financial transactions.
* Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS).
* Generate management accounts and reports, providing analysis of financial performance (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) to stakeholders.
* Prepare supporting schedules for financial audits. - Budgeting & Forecasting:
* Assist in developing the annual budget and financial forecasts.
* Monitor performance against budget, analyzing variances.
* Provide insights to department heads to manage costs effectively. - Cash Flow & Treasury Management:
* Monitor daily cash balances and manage cash flow.
* Prepare cash flow forecasts.
* Manage banking relationships. - Tax & Statutory Compliance:
* Ensure timely submission of tax filings and statutory reports.
* Liaise with tax agents, auditors, and regulatory bodies.
* Stay updated on Malaysian tax laws and standards. - Internal Controls & Process Improvement:
* Implement internal controls to safeguard assets.
* Identify and implement process improvements.
* Ensure compliance with policies and procedures. - Team Leadership & Development:
* Supervise and mentor finance team members.
* Foster a collaborative team environment.
* Conduct performance reviews and support professional development. - Financial Analysis & Support:
* Conduct financial analyses to support business decisions.
* Provide insights to other departments for operational planning.
Profile
Suitable candidates will have:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Professional qualification (e.g., ACCA, CPA, CIMA) preferred.
- At least 5-8 years of experience in finance or accounting, with 2-3 years in a supervisory role in Malaysia.
- Strong knowledge of MFRS and Malaysian tax regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Xero).
- Advanced Excel skills for financial modeling.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills to explain financial information clearly.
- High integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Job Offer
Competitive salary ranging from RM 11,000 to RM 15,000 per month.
