Mayland Group of Companies in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, is seeking a Finance Manager to lead the full spectrum of financial activities, including month-end/year-end closing, financial reporting and maintenance of accounting records.
The role requires ensuring compliance with accounting standards, statutory requirements, audit, tax and governance, while maintaining strong internal controls and timely management reporting. Experience in property development accounting is beneficial.

Manage the full spectrum of finance and accounting functions assigned to the role, including month-end and year-end closing, financial reporting and maintenance of accounting records.
Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, statutory requirements, audit, tax and corporate governance matters.
Ensure proper accounting controls and financial systems are maintained accurately, up to date and in accordance with company policies and accounting standards.
Ensure a full set of accounting records and monthly accounts are prepared accurately and on a timely basis.
Prepare monthly management accounts, financial reports, budgets and forecasts for Management review.
Analyse monthly financial statements and provide financial insights and recommendations to Management.
Prepare and manage annual budgets, forecasts, cash flow projections and cost impact analysis.
Monitor the financial performance and profitability of property development projects, including project budgets, development costs, commitments and cost-to-complete.
Prepare and monitor project cash flow forecasts, working capital requirements and other project-related financial commitments.
Review purchase requisitions to ensure compliance with approved capital expenditure and operating expense budgets.
Check and verify payments, including cheques, e-banking and petty cash, to ensure payments are properly authorised and in compliance with SOPs and approved limits.
Formulate, implement and monitor effective internal control policies and procedures.
Monitor property-related receivables, collections and financial commitments where applicable.
Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, bankers and other professional advisors on finance-related matters.
Prepare financial and management reports or analysis as and when required.
Resolve finance-related issues and ensure smooth day-to-day operations of the assigned finance functions.
Supervise and provide guidance to finance team members to ensure efficient and timely completion of their duties.
Perform any other ad hoc duties and assignments as and when required by Management.

Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
Professional qualification such as ACCA, CIMA, MICPA, CPA or equivalent is an advantage.
Minimum 5-8 years of relevant experience, preferably with experience in property development, real estate or construction.
Strong knowledge of financial reporting, accounting, budgeting, taxation, cash flow management and internal controls.
Experience in managing a full set of accounts is essential.
Experience in property development accounting is an added advantage.
Familiar with IFCA System (for Property Management) is an added advantage.
Strong analytical, problem-solving and organisational skills.
Able to multitask, prioritise work and meet tight deadlines.
Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with Management and other departments.
Detail-oriented, responsible and able to work independently.
