About the Employer
A developer originating from the east coast, established since 1992, and currently expanding.
Salary: RM 7000 - RM 10,000+
Location: Petaling Jaya
Responsibilities
- Oversee the company's financial accounts and lead the Group Account/Finance Department.
- Manage Accounts, Finance/Treasury, and Credit Control.
- Maintain financial accounts and operating procedures.
- Analyze and interpret accounting records for management use.
- Prepare business plans, forecasts, budgets, and financial analyses.
- Prepare financial performance and variance analysis reports.
- Monitor financial performance against budgets and analyze variances, especially for property development accounts.
- Conduct, review, evaluate, and implement corporate proposals and finance initiatives, including capital raising exercises.
- Plan and coordinate due diligence, valuation exercises, and feasibility studies.
- Prepare financial models for financing and corporate activities to assess risks and returns.
- Manage banking relationships and monitor bank covenant compliance and annual reviews.
- Handle loan applications for project and working capital financing.
- Manage group cash flow.
- Review group accounts and consolidation.
- Liaise with tax agents, company secretaries, bankers, and external auditors.
- Communicate with shareholders, bondholders, directors, lenders, advisors, and regulatory bodies involved in transactions.
- Prepare EXCO and Board papers for approval based on Limits of Authority.
- Ensure all corporate and financing documentation complies with statutory requirements and internal procedures.
- Coordinate meetings with shareholders, investors, financiers, legal advisors, and other parties.
- Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting of group results.
- Maintain internal controls in accordance with statutory and company requirements.
- Manage other or ad-hoc projects and duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Candidate must possess at least a Diploma/Degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent.
- Experience in preparing full sets of accounts, preferably in the construction/property industry.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience.
- Audit background experience is an advantage.
- Membership in MIA and professional qualifications such as ACCA, CPA, CIMA are advantageous.
