The Finance Manager will oversee the accounting and financial operations of a growing manufacturing company. This role requires strong expertise in financial management and compliance.

Description
  • Lead the preparation and submission of monthly financial reports ensuring compliance with group timelines and delivering insightful variance analysis against budgets.
  • Oversee comprehensive month‑end closing procedures including overhead allocation, account reconciliations, and maintenance of financial closing schedules.
  • Supervise the finance team to ensure all financial transactions such as payroll, accounts payable/receivable, fixed assets, cash, bank reconciliations are processed accurately, timely, and in accordance with accounting standards.
  • Manage key working capital components (cash, inventory, receivables, payables) in line with annual KPIs. Monitor debtor aging, enforce collection strategies, and apply provisioning in accordance with group policy.
  • Review monthly inventory reports and ensure adequate provision for obsolete or slow‑moving stock, aligned with corporate guidelines.
  • Direct monthly costing and variance analysis; provide financial insights to support pricing decisions, margin improvement, and cost‑saving initiatives.
  • Lead the development of the annual financial budget and standard product cost budget, ensuring alignment with strategic and operational objectives.
  • Oversee capital expenditure tracking, asset capitalisation, and depreciation. Maintain fixed asset registers for internal and tax purposes and conduct annual physical asset verification.
  • Ensure full compliance with accounting policies and statutory regulations. Manage external audits, corporate taxation, SST, and transfer pricing documentation in coordination with tax agents and auditors.
  • Maintain effective communication with external stakeholders including bankers, legal counsel, tax consultants, auditors, and relevant government authorities.
  • Provide strategic direction and day‑to‑day leadership to the finance team. Drive performance through coaching, mentoring, and capability‑building, fostering a collaborative and high‑performing culture.
Profile
  • A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, with a professional qualification (e.g., ACCA, CPA) being a plus.
  • Over 10 years in accounting field – financial reporting submission, reporting analysis, statutory audit, tax yearly assessment, daily finance operation activities, banking transactions and other accounting matters.
  • Proven experience in financial management within the manufacturing sector.
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards and compliance requirements in Malaysia.
  • Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and financial systems.
  • Ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team effectively.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills for stakeholder engagement.
