Description
Reporting and Consolidation
- Manage and review general ledger entries, reconcile financial statements, prepare supporting schedules, and ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and statutory requirements.
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes, including preparation of financial statements and Group consolidation, as well as assist with audit coordination.
- Analyse financial data to identify issues and provide solutions, and assist with the implementation and maintenance of accounting systems and software.
Asset Management
- Oversee the Fixed Asset Register by ensuring timely processing of additions, disposals, and write-offs, while calculating monthly depreciation and updating schedules according to company policies and accounting standards.
- Perform fixed asset analyses and physical verification, and assist with fixed asset-related tasks during month-end closing, including report preparation.
Inventory Management
- Maintain and update valuation records for all inventory categories, while reviewing and identifying slow-moving, non-moving, or obsolete stock and implementing corrective actions.
- Work closely with other departments to ensure inventory records are accurately reflected in financial statements and generate and analyse inventory reports.
- Support regular and ad-hoc physical inventory counts and investigate and resolve any discrepancies in inventory quantities or movements.
ERP Implementation
- Take an active role in implementing the ERP system for manufacturing entities, ensuring standardisation across two legal entities in Malaysia.
- Support and train finance department users during the implementation and post-migration phases, serving as the main point of contact for the finance team.
Profile
- A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional certifications such as CPA, ACCA, or equivalent are advantageous.
- Min 3 years of experience in the similar capacity with a background in manufacturing industry preferred
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards and compliance requirements.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong leadership qualities and the ability to guide a team effectively.
