Job description

Manage the day-to-day financial and costing operations with a focus on the company's financial reporting requirements.

Ensure appropriate processes and SAP system controls are in place and maintained to guarantee the integrity of all transactions.

Develop suitable financial and operational procedures to improve the operational efficiency of the company.

Prepare monthly accounting reports.

Ensure all accounting and financial transactions comply with Malaysian Accounting Standards.

Verify that all transactions for the month are accurately recorded, complete, and timely.

Monitor payments to suppliers/vendors to maintain good service and relationships.

Verify vendor invoices for proper approval and expense coding.

Supervise and review the work of the finance team.

Prepare financial reports on budgets, accounts payable/receivable, expenses, and other financial matters.

Support the creation of long-term business strategies based on financial reports.

Manage budgeting and forecasting processes.

Coordinate with external auditors, bankers, and tax consultants.

Enhance internal controls and drive process improvements.

Job Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in the manufacturing industry or a similar field is an advantage.
• Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
• Familiarity with financial management processes in manufacturing.
• Experience with office software and SAP systems.
• Knowledge of E-Invoicing implementation.
• Experience liaising with government authorities such as MIDA, DOSM, IRBM, etc.
• Comprehensive financial expertise, including accounting processing and financial management.
• Proficiency in Malaysian taxation laws and regulations, with strong professional ability and experience in accounting projects.
• Leadership and mentoring skills.
• Proactive attitude, able to handle stress and peak workloads.
